TCU Runs Sweep Streak to Nine on Senior Day

Horned Frogs tally third consecutive perfect home season

FORT WORTH – The No. 1 TCU beach volleyball team (28-0) ran its streak of sweeps to nine with a pair of 5-0 victories over UTEP and Houston Christian on Saturday at the TCU Invitational.

The Horned Frogs topped off another perfect season at home, 12-0. It's the third consecutive perfect home season and stretches their home win streak to 40 matches, dating back to March 6, 2020.
 
The Frogs also remained undefeated against opponents from Texas this weekend, 3-0, running their program mark to 37-0.
 
TCU shattered three program records with today's victories: nine straight sweeps, three 5-0 weekends and single-season sweeps (22).
 
The Horned Frogs honored three seniors: Hailey Brockett, Kate Privett, and Rochelle Scott, who each contributed 4-0 weekends.
 
Three other Frogs joined the seniors in delivering perfect 4-0 weekends: Daniela Alvarez, Sutton MacTavish, and Ana Vergara.
 
QUICK HITS AGAINST UTEP:
  • Josie Sek and Hallie Corinne Frist scored the first point of the dual in straight sets from the No. 5 position: 21-9, 21-10
  • This is the pairings first appearance and victory together.
  • Sek remained unbeaten at 4-0 and Frist perfect at 7-0.
  • Rochelle Scott and Hailey Brockett took the next point for TCU with their straight set victory at No. 4: 21-14, 21-14.
  • Riding a 19-match win streak, the longest in program history, the pairing remained unbeaten at 19-0.

  • This was the first-ever matchup between the Horned Frogs and the Miners.

  • Hailey Hamlett and Keagan Polk took the first point of the match for the Frogs from the No. 4 position: 21-14, 21-14.
  • The pairing remained unbeaten, claiming their sixth victory together.
  • Hamlett notched her 19th victory of the season and Polk remained perfect with her 10th.
  • Rochelle Scott and Hailey Brockett scored the next point for TCU with their straight set victory at No. 5: 21-14, 21-17.
  • The duo remained perfect, improving to 20-0 this season.
  • Scott claimed her 27th straight victory, the longest in program history and Brockett her 23rd.
  • Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno clinched the Horned Frog victory for the 14th time this season from the No. 1 position: 21-15, 21-8.
