FAIRFAX, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving teams concluded their record-breaking meet at the Patriot Invitational, hosted by George Mason, on Saturday. For the second year in a row, the Owls on the men's side came out on top, finishing in first place with 1,128 points. The women's side had a strong showing as well, finishing in second place with 874 points.
  Men

• The men dominated the competition throughout the weekend, finishing in first out of six teams with 1,128 points
• Another school relay record was set, this time in the 400 free relay. The 'A' squad (Jackson Kirk, Alec Peckmann, Peter Tanner Jr., Logan Thornsberry) finished in first with a time of 2:57.36
• The Owls swept the 1650 free finals. Timo Paisley took the top spot (15:36.43), followed by Thornsberry (15:46.36) in second and Cameron Speed (15:52.04). Gianni Carlino also had a strong showing in this event, finishing in sixth place (15:58.93)
• Dalton Lillibridge's terrific start through the first half of the season culminated with not only winning the 200 breast, but setting the FAU record in the process with a time of1:58.45
• Peckmann was close behind Lillibridge in the 200 breast, capturing third place (2:00.56)
• Kirk placed in third in the 100 free (44.94)
• The freshman duo of Christoffer Weiss (1:48.35) and David Arneskov (1:49.22) placed in first and second, respectively, in the 200 fly
• In the diving portion of the afternoon, Brandon Shepherd earned second place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 276.45 

Women

• The women's side finished in second place out of seven teams with a score of 874 points
• Kasia Szlek swam to second place in the 1650 free finals (17:14), followed Kirsten Hobson in third (17:21.34). Julia Quinn rounded out the top 10 for the Owls, finishing in ninth (17:39.75)
• Roberta Circi earned second place in the 200 back (1:58.52)
• Dolores Margni took second in the 200 fly (2:01.33)
• Avery Floyd tallied fourth place in a field of 23 swimmers in the 200 breast with a time of 2:21.15
• In the 400 free relay, the 'A' squad (Maggie Casey, Circi, Julia Earnshaw, Jacqueline Grabowski) finished in second place with a time of 3:25.07
• Alicia Mora and Trinity McNall made their mark on the 1-meter dive. Mora finished in second with a score of 280.65 while Trinity McNall placed in third with a mark of 250.05

Next up for the Owls is the Toyota U.S. Open in Greensboro, North Carolina from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1
