Lynchburg, Va. – A school record was set as Campbell remains in second place after the second day of the TYR '85 Invite at the Liberty Natatorium. Liberty leads with 1829.5 points, Campbell is behind with 1765.5, followed by St. Francis 1048 and California (Pa.) 639.
Campbell opened the evening finals with a school record in the 200-medley relay. The team of Angelica Ragazzoni,
Piper Burton,
Meredith Ashburn and
Colleen Renshaw posted a 1:42.16, .01 better than the previous best mark.
Piper Burton turned in Campbell's best finish in the 100 fly with a time of 56.55 for second place.
Maialen Sudupe followed suit with a second-place finish in the 400 IM in 4:27.89.
Burton collected her second podium finish of the night in the 100 breast by clocking in at 1:03.87 for third place.
The freshman duo of Angelica Ragazzoni and Laura Lopez went 2-3 with times of 55.19 and 55.60, respectively.
The Camels wrapped up the meet with another second-place in the 800 free relay with a time of 7:34.73, just .06 behind first.
