JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida swimming produced its first-ever victory in the young lifespan of the UNF Aquatic Center in a dual meet consisting of Georgia Southern and Vanderbilt Saturday, Oct. 15. A meet full of strong times and personal bests saw the Ospreys overcome Georgia Southern, while falling short to Vanderbilt of the SEC.
Faith Mutschler made her mark in the 1000 freestyle, swimming the 10th fastest time in that event in program history. The freshman has been a key swimmer for the Ospreys, producing multiple first place finishes and fast times throughout the first three meets. She finished just tenths of a second out of the first place slot.
All told, the Ospreys (2-1) produced a total of 20 top five finishes while marking 14 personal bests.

- Mutschler tallied the 10th fastest time in program history for the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:28.13

- The group of Ashley Cozad, Kate Eaton, Kephart and Mutschler swam a time of 7:50.98 in the 800 freestyle relay to propel the Ospreys to a win over Georgia Southern. The two teams entered the final event just points apart in the leaderboard
