Owls Complete Home Meet Against Nova Southeastern

BOCA RATON, Fla.– The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swim teams hosted their first scored home meet of the season against Nova on Friday. The Owls weathered a mostly sunny afternoon with a brief period of rain, culminating in a thrilling win on the men's side.

  • The men's team took home the victory 132-129
  • Dalton Lillibridge once again had a victory in both the 100 breast with a time of 56.11 and the 200 breast with a time of 2:02.75
  • Rateb Hussein was victorious in the 100 fly (49.66)
  • Alec Peckmann took the win in the 100 back (50.36)
  • Timo Paisley earned second place in the 200 free (1:40.83) as well as the 500 free (4:35.72)
  • Logan Thornsberry tallied second place in the 1000 free (9:45.49)
  • Christoffer Weiss placed in second in the 200 fly (1:55.02)
  • David Arneskov logged a time of 1:52.31 in the 200 back
  • Jackson Kirk captured third place in the 50 free (21.40)
  • The 200 medley relay 'A' team (Maximiliano Ahumada, Kirk, Lillibridge, Peckmann finished in first place with a time of 1:31.8
  • The Owls earned both first and second place in the 200 free relay, which was ultimately the difference maker in the score. The 'B' team (Brett Reason, Brett Sasser, Peter Tanner Jr., Thornsberry) held the honor of first place with a time of 1:24.10 while the 'A' team (Ahumada, Jake Bair, Hussein, Kirk) took second
Women
  • The women's team scored 67 points
  • Amelia Robertson placed in second in the 200 back (2:04.49) as well as third in the 100 back (57.98)
  • Dolores Margni finished in third place in the 200 fly (2:09.15)
  • Maggie Casey earned a third-place finish in the 500 free (5:14.11)
  • Grace Molinaro logged third place in the 100 fly (57.94)
  • The 200 medley relay team (Roberta Circi, Nika Culina, Lydia Lanahan, Robertson) finished in second place (1:48.74)
On Deck
The Owls now set their sights toward the Patriot Invitational to be held Nov. 17-19.
