Women’s Swimming Tops Campbell On Senior Day, 147-115

NORFOLK, VA – The Old Dominion Men's and Women's swimming team celebrated senior day on Saturday. The Men's team fell to George Mason 157-105 while the women's team split losing to George Mason 140-122 then defeating Campbell 147-115. Tara Enneking set a new pool record in the women's 200 IM with a time of 2:03.43.
 
ODU started off with a second place finish in the Women's 200 medley relay as the team of Samantha Allred, Gabby Tosi, Martina Ciriesi, and Miranda Byrne combined for a time of 1:46.92.
 
In the Men's 200 medley relay the Monarchs had two teams finish in the top four, coming in third place, Gussaf Hansson, Bryce Mortimer, Oskar Iwarsson, and Russell Hronek finished with a time of 1:34.94. Finishing right behind them in fourth place was the team of Jacob Cobb, Gavin Cooper, Tristen Wells, and Jordan Davis finishing in 1:35.70.
 
ODU took 2 of the top three spots in the women's 1000 free as Cara O'Toole finished first with a time of 10:24.63 and Brynn Jewell took third with a time of 10:51.26.
 
The Men took two of the top three spots in the 1000 free just as the women did, Grey Bremer took first place with a time of 9:48.31 and Carson Doll finished in third with a time of 9:54.31.
 
 
Tara Enneking and Summer Miln finished first and second in the women's free, Enneking finished in 1:52.11 with Miln right behind her coming in at 1:54.27.
 
In the Men's 200 Free Noah Wilkins took second with a time of 1:40.25, Ben Schattenberg took third with a time of 1:44.50, and Ryan Lincicum took fourth with a time of 1:44.85.
 
In the women's 50 back Mary Dunworth finished in fourth with a time of 27.47.
 
Gustaf Hansson took second and Jacob Cobb took fourth in the men's 50 back. Hansson finished with a time of 24.11 and Cobb finished in 24.49.
 
Gabby Tosi took third in the women's 50 breast with a time of 30.96.
 
In the men's 50 breast Bryce Mortimer took third with a time of 27.13 and Gavin Cooper finished right behind him with a time of 27.48.
 
In the Women's 100 fly Ciriesi Martina took first and Brina Uhlin took fourth, Martina finished with a time of 56.69 and Uhlin finished in 59.98.
 
In the Men's 100 fly Oskar Iwarsson took second for the Monarchs with a time of 50.96. 
 
In the women's 50 free Summer Miln and Miranda Byrne took third and fourth place, Miln finished with a time of 24.17 and Byrne finished with a time of 24.26.
 
Noah Wilkins took second and Ryan Lincicum took fourth in the men's 50 free, Wilkins finishing in a time of 21.27 and Lincicum finishing in a time of 21.56.
 
Summer Miln took home first place in the women's 100 free finishing with a time of 52.43.
 
In the men's 100 free Noah Wilkins took first with a time of 46.28 and Ryan Lincicum took fourth with a time of 47.14.
 
In the women's 100 back, Tara Enneking took home first place with a time of 56.11.
 
In the men's 100 back two of the top three spots were held by Monarchs, Gustaf Hansson took second with a time of 51.09 and Ben Schattenberg took third with a time of 52.27.
 
Ciriesi Martina took third in the women's 100 breast with a time of 1:06.55.
 
In the men's 100 breast, Bryce Mortimer took second finishing with a time of 58.28.
 
Carla O'Toole took second place in the women's 500 free finishing with a time of 5:05.51.
 
In the men's 500 free Grey Bremer took first with a time of 4:41.63 and Carson Doll took third with a time of 4:48.49.
 
Ciriesi Martina took second in the women's 50 fly with a time of 25.56.
 
In the men's 50 fly Oskar Iwarsson took third with a time of 23.24.
 
Tara Enneking set a pool record in the women's 200 IM taking first place with a time of 2:03.43.
 
In the men's 200 IM ODU took the top two spots as Bryce Mortimer took first with a time of 1:54.61 and Jacob Cobb finished right behind him with a time of 1:55.94.
 
ODU took third in the women's 400 free relay as the team of Summer Miln, Mary Dunworth, Miranda Byrne, and Tara Enneking finished in 3:32.47.
 
In the men's 400 free relay the Monarchs took second and fourth. The team of Ryan Lincicum, Jordan Davis, Ben Schattenberg, and Noah Wilkins took second with a time of 3:07.44, the fourth place team of Gavin Cooper, Brice Bounds, Carson Doll and Russell Hronek finished with a time of 3:12.
 
The Monarchs are back in action Feb 15- Feb 18 at the CCSA Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee.
