TCU Charts Unbeaten Performance in Season-Opening Weekend

For the second consecutive season, The Horned Frogs open the season undefeated after week one

HOUSTON – No. 3 TCU beach volleyball swept all four of its opponents, 5-0, at the Third Coast College Classic in Houston, Texas. The Horned Frogs downed Texas A&M-Corpus Chrisiti and Central Arkansas today to open the season 4-0.

"The team was awesome during the whole weekend," said associate head coach Majo Orellana. "They were all focused, engaged, supportive, and played with high intensity and intention during warmups and matches. It was a great opening weekend for us and now it is time to regroup and get ready for next weekend where we are facing three teams that ended in the top 8 last season. I am proud of the team and excited to see more of what they have to give on and off the court. We had two freshmen that competed well, and it was also nice to see different players and pairs play."

For the first time in program history, the Horned Frogs open the season with four consecutive sweeps. As a team, TCU won 40-of-42 sets played this weekend.
