Greenville, N.C. – The Fighting Camels went 2-1 at the ECU quad-meet, topping Barton and Chowan and falling to ECU.
Campbell defeated Barton 196-47, and beat Chowan 205-25. ECU bested Campbell 159-84.
The first event win of the day came from
Angelica Ragazzoni in the 50 back with a time of 26.63. Skyler Roerig grabbed third in the same event.
Campbell capped the meet with another win in the 200 free relay, featuring
Elishka Hajek, Ragazzoni,
Meredith Ashburn, and
Colleen Renshaw. The team posted a time of 1:36.52. Campbell's B-Team grabbed third place in the event as well.
Among a handful of second-place finishes, Izza Gaskey was second in the 50 breast,
Laura Lopez in the 200 free, and
Elishka Hajek in the 50 free. Lopez and Ragazzoni went 2-3 in an electric 100 back, finishing 57.12 and 57.18, just .08 behind first place.
The Fighting Camels now face a quick turnaround, returning to action tomorrow morning in Wilmington for a tri-meet with UNCW and Georgia Tech. The meet is slated to get underway at 11 a.m.
