Lynchburg, Va. – A big final day lifted Campbell to a meet win at the TYR '85 Invite, overtaking Liberty in the final stages. Campbell finished with 2,721.50 ahead of Liberty (2,597.50), Saint Francis (1,533), and California (Pa.) (907).
 
The Camels had a nearly identical performance last season when they entered Sunday in third out of five teams before winning the meet on the final day.
 
Sunday's finals began with the 1650 free, where Katarina Gagnon grabbed third place by clocking in at 17:17.77.
 
Campbell grabbed an individual win and two of the top three spots in the 200 back when Angelica Ragazzoni and Laura Lopez took first and third, respectively. Ragazzoni's time of 2:00.43 was good for the top spot. Six Camels earned a spot in the A-Final during the morning prelims.
 
The Camels again grabbed two podium spots with Colleen Renshaw and Meredith Ashburn taking second and third in the 100 free. Renshaw touched 0.11 ahead of Ashburn with a time of 51.26.
 
Izza Gaskey paced the Camels in the 200 breast, her time of 2:19.34 good for third place.
 
Campbell wrapped up the meet taking spots two and three in the 400 free relay. The A Team clocked in at 3:25.62.
 
The Camels now have nearly two months off from competition before the spring's first event. They'll return to the water at home on Jan. 14 to host North Florida.
