COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Georgia Southern Eagles wrap up fall competition this week with the diving squad competing at Tennessee and the swimming squad competing at South Carolina. The weekend was a successful one, as 25 individual bests were recorded by the Eagles.
The South Carolina Invitational was a two-day event consisting of 36 events against South Carolina, UNCW, Vanderbilt, FGCU, UNF and Gardner-Webb. The Eagles' 25 individual best times are as follows:
Georgia Southern's divers traveled to the Tennessee Invitational this weekend, competing against Duke, FGCU, South Carolina, Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The competition began Thursday with the women's 3-meter, with the women's 1-meter following on Friday.
The Eagles' diving scores are as follows:
Karlee Wells (3M: 200.40, 1M: 206.50);
Anya Weber (3M: 197.50, 1M: 189.95);
Megan Phifer (3M: 173.90, 1M: 175.25); Sara Pawluk (3M: 164.80, 1M: 157.10); Kylie Palian (3M: 141.35, 1M: 129.85).
Georgia Southern will return to the pool on Dec. 18 at the CSCAA National Open Water Swimming Championship.
