LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine swimming competed at home for the final time this season and honored 11 seniors prior to Saturday's dual versus Xavier.
 
The Xavier women emerged victorious 187-74, while the Xavier men's team also came out on top 173-88.

The following Bellarmine seniors competed for the final time at the Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center:
 
Women:  Caraline Baker, Kayla Effinger, Kerry Effinger, Anna Holt, Olivia Hopper, and Lauren Rowe
Men: Jacob Dray, Logan Jackson, Will O'Connor, Sam Russell, Brendan Verna, and Aubrey Archer Adams
 
The Knights claimed seven first place finishes between both squads and 21 top-three finishes.
 
Notable finishes for the women's team included:
Alexandra Pierce – 1^st place in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.73), 1^st in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.20)
Caroline McMillin – 1^st place in the 400 IM (4:39.70)
Morgan Bender – 2^nd place in the 200 breaststroke (2:30.05)
Luiza Bonardi – 2^nd place in the 1000 freestyle (11:02.74), 2^nd in the 200 butterfly (2:11.23), 3^rd in the 400 IM (4:49.26)
Anna Holt – 2^nd place in the 200 freestyle (1:58.00)
Liz Stevenson – 3^rd place in the 100 backstroke (1:01.53), 3^rd in the 50 freestyle (25.09)
Lauren Diercks – 3^rd place in the 200 backstroke (2:11.18)

Notable finishes for the men's team included:
Jacob Dray – 1^st in the 100 butterfly (49.75), 2^nd in the 200 butterfly (1:55.74)
Cason Henderson - 1st in the 200 butterfly (1:53.71)
Brandon Thomas – 1^st place in the 400 IM (4:06.21), 2^nd in the 200 freestyle (1:44.95)
Will O'Connor – 1^st place in the 50 freestyle (21.70)
Sam Jones – 2^nd place in the 1000 freestyle (9:52.69), 2^nd in the 500 freestyle (4:50.45)
John Paul Metzner – 2^nd place in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.03)
Liam Connelly – 3^rd place in the 1000 freestyle (9:58.27)
 
Bellarmine will head to Indiana next weekend with a road dual at Ball State on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
