Liberty Sweeps Women's CCSA Honors

Charlotte, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Liberty’s Chloe Harris collect’s her first Swimmer of the Week Honors in the CCSA. While teammate Maddie Freece earns her second CCSA Diver of the Week honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.

Competing at FIU, Oct. 28-29

  • 50 butterfly/25.42/1st place 
  • 100 butterfly/56.63/1st place
  • 200 butterfly/2:03.01/1st place
  • 100 IM/57.96/2nd place
  • 400 IM/4:32.54/5th place
  • Swam third leg on Liberty’s 1st place 200 medley relay/1:43.50
  • Swam third leg on Liberty’s 2nd place 400 medley relay/3:47.80 

Chloe Harris had an outstanding meet competing at eight-time defending Conference USA champion FIU, winning three individual events and swimming on one winning relay. She turned in the fastest time in the CCSA so far this season in four individual events (50 fly – 25.42, 100 fly – 56.63, 200 fly – 2:03.01, 100 IM – 57.96) this weekend and swam on the fastest 200 medley relay (1:43.50) and 400 medley relay (3:47.80) of any CCSA team this season to date. She currently has the fastest time in the CCSA in five individual events and two relays.

One-meter diving/243.68/5th place 
Three-meter diving/260.25/4th place
Platform diving/157.80/4th place 

Maddie Freece had her best meet so far of this young season, posting season best scores on one-meter (243.68), three-meter (260.25) and platform (157.80). It was Liberty’s first-ever dual meet that featured platform diving. Freece turned in Liberty’s best scores on all three boards, competing against an FIU contingent of divers led by four-time C-USA Diver of the Year and two-time Olympia Maha Gouda.
