CCSA Announces Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Nov. 11

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Incarnate Word’s Ximena Conde Merlos earned her first CCSA Swimmer of the Week honors while FGCU’s Reese Wakefield was named the CCSA Diver of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. This is the first career award for Merlos while this is the fourth career award for Wakefield.

-  First career CCSA Swimmer of the Week honor, first honor for UIW this season
-  Helped her team to a first place in the 800 Free Relay with a time of 1:50.96
-  Grabbed the top spot in the 200 Free (1:50.97) and the 500 Free (5:00.48)
-  Took first place in the 400 IM with a time of 4:26.12

CCSA Diver of the Week
Reese Wakefield | FGCU
Freshman | Guelph, Ontario, Canada
-  Fourth career CCSA Diver of the Week honor, fourth honor for FGCU
- Took top spot in the 3-meter dive ahead of divers from Toledo, Marshall, Eastern Michigan, and Oakland
- Set new personal high scores in the 1-meter dive over the weekend
