CCSA Announces Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Oct. 29

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – FGCU sweeps the CCSA Swimmer and Diver of the week honors, announced Tuesday by the league office. This is the second team sweep this season as Petra Halmai earned Swimmer of the Week and Reese Wakefield earned Diver of the Week.

CCSA Swimmer of the Week
Petra Halmai, FGCU
Junior | Dombovar, Hungary
- First CCSA Swimmer of the Week honor this season; first FGCU honoree this season
- Posted some of the fastest times in the country against Vanderbilt on Friday while earning three first-place finishes as an individual
- Her 200 breaststroke (2:11.36) currently ranks fifth in the NCAA while her 100 breaststroke (1:01.18) sits 12th
- She swam the 200 butterfly directly after the 100 breastroke, earning a win for the Eagles while posting the second fastest time in the CCSA 
- Swam an exhibition 400 IM and posted the top time in the CCSA by five seconds

CCSA Diver of the Week
Reese Wakefield, FGCU
Freshman | Guelph, Ontario, Canada
- Second CCSA Diver of the Week honor this season; only diver to earn the honor twice this season
- In just her second meet as an Eagle she swept both boards 
- She earned her first NCAA Zone score on 1-meter with a 270.86
- Posted the top scores on 3-meter by 24 points with a score of 269.25
