CCSA Announces Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Feb. 5

Charlotte, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Gardner-Webb sophomore Jessi Snover (Greer, S.C.) has been named the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week, the CCSA announced Tuesday. In addition, Liberty freshman Lauren Chennault (Coppell, Texas) is the Women's Diver of the Week for the second time this season for the final regular-season meets.

Snover had two first-place finishes in Gardner-Webb's win over Davidson this past Saturday. In the 100-yard freestyle, she clocked in at 53.67. Then in the 100-yard butterfly, Snover finished with a time of 58.46. Then she recorded a split of 26.19 in the 50-yard butterfly, and finished her day with a 53.59 split in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

At the Liberty Invitational last weekend, Chennault earned the highest scores of any CCSA diver season at the Liberty Invitational last weekend. She scored a program-record 317.85 in 3-meter dive and a program-record 287.10 in the 1-meter. Both of Chennault's dives are Zone Qualifying scores, and her 317.85 for 3-meter diving is 21.85 points higher than the second-best score in the CCSA this season.
