CCSA Announces Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Jan. 15

Charlotte, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Campbell senior Taylor McMinn (St. Simons, Ga.) has been named the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Jan. 7-13. In addition, Howard's Christian Nickolas (Brentwood, Calif) is the Women's Diver of the Week for the third time this season, the CCSA announced Tuesday.

McMinn helped lead the Camels to a quad-meet sweep over Old Dominion, Howard and VMI with her win in the 100 breast, a second-place finish in the 200 breast and a first-place finish in the 200-medley relay. In the 100 breast, her time of 1:06.91 beat out the second place finisher by just under two seconds, while she finished just 0.09 seconds behind the first-place swimmer in the 200 breast at 2:22.83.

Against VMI and CCSA conference competitors Campbell and Old Dominion, Nickolas took first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Nickolas scored a 213.65 at the 3-meter height. She then upped her total to 218.25 in the 1-meter competition, which extended her undefeated streak on the 1-meter to 12-0.

Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week: Jessi Snover (Gardner-Webb), Bre Stuart (Gerogia Southern) and Cassie Phillips (Incarnate Word).

Also nominated for Diver of the Week: Sara Rogers (Georgia Southern) and Ana Lucia Garza (Incarnate Word).
