CCSA Announces Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Nov. 13

Charlotte, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Howard senior KaSandra Kaplan (Detroit, Mich.) has been named the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Nov. 5-11. In addition, Liberty freshman Lauren Chennault (Coppell, Texas) is the Women's Diver of the Week honor, the CCSA announced Tuesday.

Kaplan claimed first place in the 50 free against defending Atlantic 10 Conference Champion George Washington with a finish of 24.76. Her lead off leg in the 400 Free relay was also the fastest of the meet and set the Bison up for another first place finish to close out the day.

Chennault helped Liberty claim the win at Marshall last weekend, 251-250. She earned the first NCAA Zone Qualifying mark of her career, with a program-record 287.55 points to win the 3-meter diving on Saturday. Her score is the fourth-best among all CCSA divers this season. Chennault then scored 258.38 points in the 1-meter dive, which is the fourth-best 1-meter score in the CCSA this season. The score is also second in program history on the 1-meter board.
