CCSA Announces Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Nov. 6

Charlotte, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – UNC Asheville senior Morgan Rulevich (Lake Wylie, S.C.) has been named the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season, the CCSA announced Tuesday. In addition, Howard sophomore Christian Nickolas (Brentwood, Calif.) also claims here second Women's Diver of the Week honor for meets contested Oct. 29-Nov. 4.

Rulevich's 18 individual points and lead-off leg in the 200 free relay helped secure the meet for the Bulldogs in their 115.5 to 89.5 point victory over conference opponent Gardner-Webb last Friday. She took the 50 free title in 24.20 and then claimed first in the 100 free with a time of 52.10. Rulevich concluded her meet with a 23.96 split in the 200 free relay to help take first place.

Nickolas competed last weekend at Mount St Mary's and against Monmouth, and posted the winning mark on the 1-meter board. Her score of 235.90 secured first place by almost 100 points compared to the next closest competitor. 

Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week: Madison Scott (Campbell), Gracie Redding (Florida Gulf Coast) and KaSandra Kaplan (Howard).

Also nominated for Diver of the Week: Megan Wakefield (Florida Gulf Coast).
