CCSA ANNOUNCES MEN’S SWIMMER & DIVER OF THE WEEK

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Bellarmine’s Jacob Dray has earned the CCSA Swimmer of the Week honors, While Florida Atlantic’s Brandon Shepherd has earned CCSA Diver of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office.

Jacob Dray, Bellarmine

Senior | Louisville, Kentucky

 

Dray won:

 

  • 100 butterfly - (49.35) 

 

  • First place finishes in the 400 Medley Relay – (3:31.45)

 

  • 200 Freestyle Relay – (1:26.16)

 

Bellarmine swimming completed a successful weekend of competition, with the men's and women's teams each earning their first dual victories of the season.  The men's team earned two victories, topping EIU 157-104 and Valparaiso 181-80. Dray was one of seven men’s swimmers who won their individual events.

 

 

CCSA Diver of the Week

Brandon Shepherd, Florida Atlantic

Sophomore | Fort Myers, Florida

 

  • Finished in third place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 289.73

 

  • Fourth place in the 1-meter dive with a score of 268.43.

The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swim and dive teams competed in their first home meet of the season against Princeton on Friday. On the diving board, Brandon Shepherd finished in third place at the 3-meter dive with a score of 289.73.
