CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Incarnate Word’s Hector Ruvalcaba Cruz earned his first CCSA Swimmer of the Week honors while teammate Dawson Martinez was named the CCSA Diver of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. These are the first awards of the season for both Cruz and Martinez.

- First CCSA Swimmer of the Week honor this season, first honor for UIW this season
- Grabbed first place in the 200 Fly event with a time of 1:48.50
- Took the top spot in the 500 Free with a time of 4:32.02
- Clinched first place in the 400 IM with a time of 3:55.84, which ranks him 27th overall in the country
CCSA Diver of the Week
Dawson Martinez, the University of Incarnate Word
Junior | Plantation, Fla.
- First CCSA Diver of the Week honor this season, first honor for UIW this season
- Finished second in the 1-meter diver with a score of 293.1
- Made the NCAA Zone Diving in the 3-meter dive with a score of 369.07
