CHARLOTTE, N.C. – FAU’s Rateb Hussein earned his second straight CCSA Swimmer of the Week honors while teammate Logan Downey also earned his second straight CCSA Diver of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. This is the third overall honor for Halmai while this is Downey’s third time being honored this season.
CCSA Swimmer of the Week
Rateb Hussein, FAU
Freshman | Cairo, Egypt
- Third CCSA Swimmer of the Week this season; first to win three honors this season
- Grabbed top honors in the 100 Fly with a time of 49.23, which tied the FAU freshman record
- Took second place in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:49.81
- Helped the team to a second place finish in the 200 medley and 200 free relays
CCSA Diver of the Week
Logan Downey, FAU
Junior | Plantation, Fla.
- Second CCSA Diver of the Week honor this season, FAU earned all four diver of the week honors this season
- Grabbed top honors in the 1m dive with a score of 308.92, the score also earned him NCAA Zone qualifer
- Took first place in the 3m dive with a season personal best score of 257.47
