CCSA Announces Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Oct. 1

ATLANTA, Ga. - FAU's Rateb Hussein earned the first CCSA Swimmer of the Week honors while teammate Michael Cannatelli was named the CCSA Diver of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. These are the first career awards for Hussein and Cannatelli.

- First career CCSA Swimmer of the Week honor
- Had two top proverbial podium finishes in his Owl debut against a tough No. 5 Florida squad
- Swam a 1:40.22 in the 200 freestyle capturing a third place finish
- Recorded a time of 49.69 in the 100 butterfly, good for another third place finish
- His 100 butterfly time of 49.69 was faster than what any FAU swimmer achieved last season.

CCSA Diver of the Week 
Michael Cannatelli, FAU
Sophomore | Clearwater, Fla.

- First career CCSA Diver of the Week honor 
- Finished second in the 3-meter with a personal best 315.37 and 70 points more than the next finisher
- Recorded a fourth place finish in the 1-meter with a score of 250.27
