CCSA Announces Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Jan. 3

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Florida Atlantic junior Phillip Crouch (Leesburg, Va.) has been named the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Dec. 17-30, the CCSA announced Thursday. Eagle teammate Logan Downey (Gardners, Pa.) has been named the Men's Diver of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Crouch found his way to the medal stand at the FAU Fun Invitational after a top finish in the 50-yard breaststroke. His finish of 27.12 in the event was a CSCAA National Invitational B-cut time. Crouch also had another top-10 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, with a 59.82.

Downey swept the 1- and 3-meter dives for the third time this season at the FAU Fun Invite. He claimed first in both events by nearly 40 points in the 1-meter and 20 in the 3-meter competition. Downey has finished either first or second in diving events at each meet this season.
