CCSA Announces Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Nov. 20

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Florida Atlantic freshman Josh Fountain (Lilburn, Ga.) has been named the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Nov. 12-18, the CCSA announced Tuesday. Eagle teammate Logan Downey (Plantation, Fla.) has been named the Men's Diver of the Week for the third time this season.

Fountain finished the Patriot Invitational last weekend with a school record, two first-place finishes and four personal-best times. He broke a Florida Atlantic freshman record in the 1650-yard freestyle, where he clocked in at 15:31.55 and claimed first in the event. Fountain also captured first in the 500-yard freestyle, tallying a personal-best time of 4:29.80.

Downey swept both diving events he competed in last weekend at the Patriot Invitational. In the 1-meter event, his score of 319.70 secured a first-place finish and a NCAA Zone qualification. Then in the 3-meter dive, he finished with a 311.80 for another first place finish. Downey's scores edged out divers from schools that included UMBC, UNC Wilmington and George Mason.
