CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Howard sophomore Kegan Ford (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago) has been named the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Oct. 8-14, while senior teammate Justice Brown-Duso (Cranston, R.I.) is the Men's Diver of the Week, the CCSA announced Wednesday.
Ford began the dual meet season on a high note last week as the Bison faced American University and Manhattan College on Friday, then traveled to face VMI and Barton College on Saturday. He took the top spot in all of his individual events with first place finishes in the 50 Free and 100 Free for both meets. Ford's anchor leg on the 200 Medley relay on Friday also gave the Bison the victory with his split of 21.17.
In Brown Duso's first ever collegiate competitions last week, he took third on the 1-meter board in both meets. Against American and Manhattan on Friday, he scored a 90.10. He followed that up with a 148.65 total against VMI and Barton on Saturday.
