CCSA Unveils 2023 @CCSA_Beach Championship Bracket

ATLANTA - The 2023 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Beach Volleyball Championship begins on Thursday, April 27, at the John Hunt Sand Volleyball Complex in Huntsville, Ala. The action for the league's seventh championship gets underway at 9:30 AM CT and concludes with the championship final starting at 1:30 PM CT on Saturday, April 29.

After Grand Canyon put a bow on regular season contests Saturday afternoon, the league office unveiled the pairings for the first round of the double-elimination bracket. TCU claimed the top spot for the second consecutive season as the Horned Frogs went 31-1 this spring and spent six-straight weeks as the top team in the nation this season. Six-time defending champion Florida State enters as the #2 seed sporting a 29-6 record. Both teams earned byes to the second round on Thursday afternoon and will wait to play the first-round winners.

LSU (24-10) earned the tournament's third seed and takes on #6 Missouri State (9-11) at 11 AM CT on Thursday. League newcomer Grand Canyon (23-6) is the fourth seed and South Carolina (19-10) comes in as the #5 seed. The Lopes and Gamecocks hold the first serve of the championship on Thursday at 9:30 AM CT.  

All of the 2023 CCSA Championship duals are scheduled to be broadcasted live on Bally Sports and YouTube.

The Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) is a progressive NCAA Division I conference dedicated to the enhancement of opportunities for students. The conference was founded in 2008 to provide a championship opportunity for Swimming and Diving student-athletes and extended that opportunity with the addition of Beach Volleyball in the summer of 2015. The league's footprint extends into several states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia. The CCSA is dedicated to the student-athletes who compete in its championships and their success in the classroom, in the field of competition, and life after graduation.
