ATLANTA - For the sixth consecutive season, the CCSA Beach Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year hails from Florida State as Paige Kalkhoff earned the honor for the 2023 season, the league office announced on Wednesday. Kalkhoff is joined by nine of the league's student-athletes named to the 2023 All-Academic Team.

Kalkhoff continues the string of FSU Scholar-Athletes as she holds a 4.00 GPA while majoring in Public Health with a minor in Business. The Cincinnati, Ohio native posted a 21-9 record at the 1s, helping to lead the Seminoles to a 29-6 overall record and a No. 4 national ranking this season. Kalkhoff and her Court 1 partner and fellow All-Academic honoree, Maddie Anderson, earned 18 ranked victories this season as the defending tournament champion Seminoles enter the CCSA Championship as the #2 seed.

South Carolina garnered a league-high four All-Academic selections as voted on by the league's sports information directors. The Seminoles earned two selections along with league newcomer Grand Canyon while LSU and Missouri State earned one distinction each.

The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both in the sand and in the classroom. All 10 members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
