TCU's Alvarez & Moreno Claim Second Consecutive @CCSA_Beach Pair of the Week Honor

 


ATLANTA – TCU's Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno earned their second consecutive CCSA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week honors, the league office announced on Wednesday. The Horned Frog pair went 4-0 in straight sets on the week including two victories over #4 LSU, Texas A&M-Kingsville and Southern Miss.

- Fifth Career CCSA Pair of the Week for Alvarez & Moreno pairing; sixth weekly award for the TCU program
- Posted four straight-set victories over Texas A&M-Kingsville, Southern Miss. And No. 4 TCU (twice) in the Horned Frog Challenge
- Topped Kingsville No. 1 pair (21-11, 21-11) and claimed the match victory against the USM pair (21-10, 21-6)
- Earned the match point for the Horned Frogs in Friday's meeting against the Tigers (25-23, 21-19); added 21-15, 21-15 victory against LSU on Saturday
- Remains perfect on the season (11-0) heading into a weekend showdown with No. 2 USC, No. 14 FIU, No. 15 FAU and Jacksonville in Miami, Fla.

The Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) is a progressive NCAA Division I conference dedicated to the enhancement of opportunities for students. The conference was founded in 2008 to provide a championship opportunity for Swimming and Diving student-athletes and extended that opportunity with the addition of Beach Volleyball in the summer of 2015. The league's footprint extends into several states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia. The CCSA is dedicated to the student-athletes who compete in its championships and their success in the classroom, in the field of competition, and life after graduation.
