ATLANTA, Ga. – Last fall, the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) announced the additions of TCU and Southern Miss to the sport of beach volleyball, expanding the conference to 12 members for the spring 2019 championship. Today we'll spotlight one of our newcomers in the TCU Horned Frogs.

The Horned Frogs began their beach volleyball program in 2015 and have seen some success since their inaugural campaign. In year two of the program in 2016, TCU finished with a record of 18-7. They maintained that success in 2017 with another 18-win campaign before winning 11 matches a year ago. The Horned Frogs have been an independent until this upcoming season when they'll join one of the premier beach volleyball conferences in the country in the CCSA, a league that sent four teams to the NCAA Championships last spring.

The CCSA, an NCAA Division I conference, formed in 2007 as a partnership among swimming and diving programs in the ASUN Conference, Big South Conference, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and Southern Conference to provide championship opportunities for the men's and women's swimming and diving student-athletes. Conference growth in swimming and diving now shows 15 institutions with competitors from eight separate Division I multisport conferences. With the addition of beach volleyball, the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association now boasts 24 member institutions with participants from 12 different NCAA Division I multisport conferences.
