LakePoint, Ga. - For the third consecutive season, multiple Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Beach Volleyball teams were celebrating after hearing their names called during the NCAA Championship Selection Show on Sunday night. A conference record four teams will head to Gulf Shores, Ala. and compete for a national title. 

CCSA Champions Florida State earned the highest seed of the four teams as the Seminoles are the No. 4 seeded team heading into the NCAA Championship. They will take on No. 5 USC in a rematch of the first-ever NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship Final to open the postseason tournament. The Seminoles hold a 30-6 overall record and didn't drop a single match in the 2018 CCSA Championship. Florida State is led by the stellar one-two punch at the top of its lineup in CCSA All-Conference selections Tory Paranagua/Vanessa Freire & Hailey Luke/Katie Horton. 

South Carolina is back in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship as the Gamecocks earned the No. 6 seed in the upcoming event at Gulf Shores. The Gamecocks enter the postseason with a 24-7 mark after reaching the semifinals of the 2018 CCSA Championship. The team didn't drop a single match in pool play, before falling to LSU in the semifinals. Head Coach Moritz Moritz will lead his team to its second-straight NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship appearance, after he was named the CCSA Coach of the Year. 

FIU will make its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship after the Panthers produced an outstanding season going 23-10. The Panthers also advanced out of pool play at the 2018 CCSA Championship and then battled with Florida State in the semifinals. FIU is led by one of the top pairs in the country as Federica Frasca / Margherita Bianchin were voted to the CCSA All-Conference team after a stellar campaign. The Italian duo owns a 26-6 record playing all of their matches at the No. 1 spot. 

Those three teams were the three teams selected from the East Region. The final team earned of the of the two at-large spots as the LSU Tigers picked up the No. 7 seed. The Tigers are back in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship and look to make some noise behind the 2018 CCSA Pair of the Year in Kristen Nuss / Claire Coppola. The Tigers pushed Florida State to the limits in the CCSA Championship Final, before falling. LSU will take on Pepperdine in the opening round.
