LakePoint, Ga. - Sunday morning saw No. 1 Florida State and No. 4 LSU advance to the 2018 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Beach Volleyball Championship Final as the Seminoles cruised to a 5-0 win, while LSU took care of South Carolina by the score of 4-1 in the second semifinal. The two squads will meet in the Final at 1 PM ET live on Eleven Sports USA.

Semifinal 1 Recap: Box Score
No. 1 Florida State rolled to another sweep as the Seminoles are going for their third consecutive CCSA Championship title. Courts 3, 4, and 5 is where the match was won as Florida State earned straight-set victories on all courts. Brooke Kuhlman and Molly McBain got the scoring started winning 21-13, 21-10 on Court 4. Sara Putt and Macy Jerger followed suit with a 2117, 21-16 win on Court 3. After an epic first set on Court 5 that went 28-26 in favor of Francesca Goncalves and Eva Torruella, the duo won the second set 21-16 to clinch the match. Courts 1 and 2 went to three sets where the Seminoles prevailed 15-11 (Court 1) and 19-17 (Court 2) to sweep the dual.   

Semifinal 2 Recap: Box Score
No. 4  LSU took control early against South Carolina and never let go of that control on their way to a 4-1 victory. CCSA Pair of the Year, Claire Coppola and Kristen Nuss made quick work on Court 1 as they won 21-14, 21-9 to put the Tigers on the board first. The second point came from Court 3 where Olivia Powers and Hunter Domanski won 21-18, 21-17 to put LSU up 2-0. South Carolina recorded its first point of the match on Court 2 as Shannon Williams and Ali Denney won in straight sets. The dual was clinched on Court 4 where LSU's Emmy Allen and Megan Davenport won 21-14, 21-18 to put LSU in the final. Court 5 went in favor of LSU as well as Maddie Ligon and Riley Young won in straight sets.
