LakePoint, Ga. – Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Beach Volleyball teams continued tournament play this past weekend as Florida State hosted the Staybridge Suites Invitational with several other CCSA members playing in the tournament. LSU and Tulane played in the HBU Invitational.

The Seminoles were back at home for the first time this season and they blanked all three opponents they faced. First, Florida State defeated TCU 5-0, then took care of Florida Atlantic by the same score line. They closed out the weekend with a 5-0 win against fellow CCSA member South Carolina.

South Carolina and Georgia State each finished the weekend 2-2 at the Staybridge Suites Invitational. The Gamecocks defeated Florida Atlantic and FIU on Day one of the weekend, then dropped their final two games. One of those losses on Saturday came to Georgia State as the Panthers finished the weekend with wins against the Gamecocks and Florida Atlantic.

LSU continued its great recent form as the Tigers went perfect this past weekend at the HBU Invitational. They picked up two wins by the score of 5-0 against Houston Baptist and Central Arkansas. They also defeated Tulane 3-2 and earned a 4-1 win against Texas A&M Corpus-Christi. With this weekend's victories, the LSU Tigers have won 16 consecutive dual matches heading into the final regular season weekend. They will host the Battle on the Bayou this weekend before the CCSA Championship takes place on April 21-13.

At the same tournament, Tulane posted a 3-1 mark with their only defeat coming to the Tigers. The Green Wave defeated Central Arkansas and Texas A&M-Kingsville 5-0 each on Day one of the tournament. After dropping a hard fought match with LSU, the Green Wave rebounded with a 4-1 win against host Houston Baptist

UAB went 3-1 last weekend at the Austin Peay Duals with all three wins being 5-0 sweeps. They defeated Morehead State and hosts Austin Peay twice over the weekend. The only defeat came to Louisiana-Monroe by the narrowest of margin 3-2.
