JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida swimming opened up home competition at the UNF Aquatic Center, hosting Florida State and Georgia Southern in the Osprey Invite. Despite strong swims from the Ospreys, Florida State came out on top in the tri-meet. UNF almost grabbed a victory over Georgia Southern, but fell short by a small margin.
Four Ospreys competed in their first swims of the competition season. All told, nine different swimmers marked personal bests from the competition.
This was the first of four home meets at the UNF Aquatic Center in the 2022-2023 competition season.

COFFEY TALK
"First off, we want to give a big thank you to both Florida State and Georgia Southern for rescheduling the meet from last week. Our swimmers really competed well today. Many of our athletes were having their first swims of the season. For the ones who swam two weeks ago, many bettered their times. Our 1000 free group did a really good job today.
Victoria Torres,
Sara Maschmeier, and
Ashley Kephart had really good swims in their respective events. Today's Osprey Invite was a lot of fun and featured good swimming, but we now shift our focus to our meet this Saturday versus Georgia Southern and Vanderbilt."
