JACKSONVILLE– No. 1 TCU beach volleyball added two more ranked wins to their record after Day 1 of the North Florida Invite in Jacksonville, Fla. The Horned Frogs swept No. 19 Pepperdine and No. 17 Stetson, running their season total to six sweeps over ranked opponents. TCU remains undefeated as its record moves to 22-0.  

With the two sweeps, TCU now owns 16 sweeps for the 2023 season. The Horned Frogs notched their second all-time victory over the Waves and improved their record against the Hatters to 5-2.  
 

QUICK HITS AGAINST No. 19 Pepperdine   

• Maria Gonzalez and Hailey Hamlett scored the first point of the dual with a straight set victory at No. 4: 21-11, 21-18. 
• The victory marked the duo's 10th win together this season.   
• The pair secured their sixth ranked win this season. 
• Rochelle Scott and Hailey Brockett notched the second point for the Frogs from the No. 5 position: 21-12, 21-17.  
• The victory over the Waves marked the ninth ranked win for the duo. 
• The duo tallied their 13th win this season. 
• Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno clinched the match for TCU with their straight-set victory at No. 1: 21-13, 21-12.

• The duo had the fewest points allowed in their second set victory against Pepperdine.
