NORFOLK, VA. – Campbell fell to both Old Dominion and George Mason in the final meet of the regular season Saturday in Norfolk, Va. ODU topped Campbell 147-115, while George Mason took it 164-97.
The Camels did not have any individual wins on the day, but did have a handful of both second and third place finishes.
Katarina Gagnon got Campbell off to a strong start in the first individual event, finishing second in the 1000 free with a time of 10:43.96. Gagnon placed again later in the 500 free, with a time of 5:13.40.
Angelica Ragazzoni found her way to the podium in the 50 back, with a time of 27.41 being good for third place.
Izza Gaskey finished second in the next event, the 50 breast, by posting a time of 30.30. Gaskey would later grab second as well in the 100 breast at 1:06.31.
Elishka Hajek was able to finish second in the 50 free in 24.16.
Laura Lopez continued the string of second place finishes in the 100 back, clocking ini at 56.85.
Meredith Ashburn collected a top-3 spot by finishing third in the 50 fly in 25.84, just a half second behind the top spot.
The Camels ended the day by finishing second in the 400 free relay with a 3:31.52.
Campbell returns to action in just under three weeks at the CCSA Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. The conference meet gets underway Wednesday Feb. 15 and will run through that Saturday.
